What you need to know:1. These absorb just fine for drying your hands after washing. If they don’t absorb enough, you might be using too much washing detergent and leave out the softeners and dryer sheets.2. After you wash and dry them the first time, they aren’t as uniform as when they arrive (actually pretty ugly). They aren’t going to fold nicely like dishrags. You would have to iron and stretch them for that. But if you are just doing a quick fold and leaving them out for hand drying, they will be fine.3. I would order a double pack. We use them up pretty quickly. We still keep paper towels out for other things, but they have stopped the waste for hand washing.4. They shrink some, so the final product you end up is using is smaller than the description. For that reason, if you are looking for double duty things that you can wash the counter with, look elsewhere. But for drying your hands, they are perfect.The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I think it would be better if the maker pre-washed and dried the material before cutting and sewing so that they will stay more uniform for the buyer after the first wash.
